landscaping can
feel overwhelming.
I'm here to help.
DO I NEED A LANDSCAPE PLAN?
Depending on who you are, a landscape plan effectively conveys one of two things; what you are paying for, or what you are being paid for. A landscape plan will streamline the process from conception to completion for both homeowners and contractors. It will minimize uncertainty, reduce waste, simplify add-ons, and help all parties visualize the project.

WHERE DO I START?
Beginning with a consultation at your project site, I will outline the project scope. This includes an assessment of your existing landscape or new construction concept, determining wants/desires, and defining a project scale. Following the consultation, we will complete a proposal for your landscape design and deliverables.

WHAT WILL I GET?
Your final deliverables will include everything needed to visualize, quantify, and plan for your construction project.
Each project is unique. Two-dimensional construction drawings do a great job of defining spaces and create a roadmap for the project. Three dimensional drawings and sketches help end users visualize how elements and negative space come together to define the landscape. The detailed designs ultimately pull everything together and streamline the construction process. Hardscape, irrigation, planting, drainage and lighting should all be considered in your landscape plan. Not planning for these pieces of your project can be costly and time consuming if not integrated into the design.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
Home Advisor published an article in 2022 stating a landscape plan will account for 5-15% of your project budget. I believe that is too high. My fees typically range from 3-5% of your project budget.

IS IT WORTH IT?
A well-done landscape plan can save time and money throughout your project and for many years after; it should also increase your home’s value and curb appeal.
